    Greetings Tom,

I would love to see this eagle! I have never heard of it. Is it the same pattern with a different color or a totally different eagle? I can't wait!

Hi Fred, this is what I think is an earlier eagle:

I think TGN s eagle is a little earlier and for LandJaeger units... Billbert

The eagle TGN posted is the same type, a first pattern, but white on green, which usually comes in with the second pattern eagles, in c1937, or so I think. But the fact that this colour variation also existed as a first pattern, prior to the white on grey is something I did'nt know.

          Thanks for the information. JerryBB

First of all ,I would like to say what an interesting thread
To Earl: A very very nice eagle (and rare IMO cause still attached to a piece of uniform)

To Tom: that,s a very very rare bird indeed first time I see this one in 15 years of collecting bevo eagle,s

IMO the eagle,s with the grey background and welt are the first type,s
The colour that,s on Tom,s eagle is normally used on the second type eagle,s

This one is IMO an transition Heer bird Just as this one (second type bird with the colours of an first type)

Am I not understanding something or are we speaking of the standard M33-35 eagle like this?

Love it Frank!!! That's a very tough set-up to find in it's original state.

Tom's eagle is a beauty too - not HEER though. Very rare and very nice!

                    Greetings All,

Thanks for posting that eagle Tom! I have been looking for one of those for an awful long time.
I agree with Johnny. I believe that this is a transitional eagle, first pattern eagle, second pattern colors. The link that he attached prior is also a transitional eagle but a second pattern eagle in first pattern colors!! Both are exceptional eagles to find and very rare in my opinion.
Earl, Your eagle is fantastic because it is still attached to tunic material and is worn. As I said earlier, most of the first pattern that we see are mint.

                    Fred
