I don't collect uniforms so I cannot be of much he on that. The bluse gives me a strange feeling though, and the eagle and the edelweiss appear to be reapplied IMO. the boards have a piping which also I never saw.but maybe that's just me and it's perfectly legitimate. regards Zeller

Can you post pictures of the underside of the collar and the lining along the edges of the skirt by the vents and the lapels. Are the underside of the boards a gray soft wool?

The lining is about the worst application I have ever seen in a tailored jacket. I appears to have been applied before or after the button holes were cut. The Trikot fabric looks period but? If the exerior of the jacket is original I almost wonder if it was relined. The piping may be okay, there is a type of piping like it used on tailor-made items, the tear-drop button-holes also would suggest the boards may have been private purchase. Need better pictures, I would not get to excited over it.

The Edelweiss and the EKII ribbon are poorly attached.

Any Feldwebel would have been embarrassed with that sewing-job on his best tunic.

The tunic itself is nice and clean

So what you're saying is that the tunic is original but the insignia are attached post war ?

Do you think so? Look at the sewing around the button holes and the lining position relative to the edges of the skirt, maybe it was altered from a recycled KIA tunic for someone else etc. The stitchline on the pocket flap under the eagle looks like they back it off and started again but still missed. Pretty scary sewing

I would want to look at it. I thought you were on Vacation why are you wasting your time on here.

I'm reluctant to dismiss the entire tunic - like you I would want to see it in hand for a final decision

Try to get more pictures. I have a tunic that has had the liner removed. I am trying to figure out how to fix that. I suspect even I can do a better job then this

Nothing is definate, it is just odd i nseveral respects. As Naxos noted it could all be real. If we knew everything this would not be fun anymore.
