The tunic looks fine, and these converted Dutch jobs are certainly correct for an Eastern troop issue. The shoulderboards are correct, though I would have expected the collar to have some tress over the issue WH litzen.

Overall, a nice tunic appropriate for a Kossack / Vlasov army fellow, though hard to say when the insignia was added. I'd sure snag it if the price was right!

As Robert noted real Dutch tunic after that the guessing starts. If it is not original, unless they did something really stupid with the application or the POA patch is fake it would be difficult to tell.

Looks pretty good. but not cossack,but Vlasov/POA jacket... Almost, all the converted Dutch jackets I've had and seen have had that POA shield , M36 breast eagle , same shoulder straps..

Only thing that looks weird is the EasternPeoples ribbon,,looks a little dark.. Check all the insignia, make sure authentic, maybe black light any white thread, check that the tresse isn't the reproduction type.. IF all checks out you got yourself something very nice there...

- just noticed your the same guy on the other topic thats why this is called Cossack. These Dutch jackets made the rounds with all the voluteers so I guess anything is possible. I'd much rather see the whole complete group with one of the cossack shields!

Take that shield off,, 2 ribbons,, shoulder boards,,and there's a nice Dutch rework there,,and they're getting harder and harder to find all the time!

I agree, need to see more of it to send it packing. I would say it is unlikely it is original but only the Phantom knows.

Apparently this is all one group from one seller, who has in the past put together similar bogus groupings.. Them both having the exact shield, exact boards, and when together in my opinion the unit is incorrect for the insignia. We could talk about that too..

Well, your right!. This is a seemingly good Dutch rework, that if was offered alone/by itself would be a nice jacket to have in ones collection.

It was a series of seperate individual auction lots on that now have all been pulled and he appears to be contacting bidders or people that emailed him asking about it. It was not a set offered together. But the insignia does ineed look the same.

He had offered me this Dutch tunic,the tcherkessa discussed elsewhere and an m40 cap sometime ago and his pitch then was they had all come the one person.
