Generals shoulder boards?

i recently could get a few things, including these boards.
Can you pls help and let me know if they are original and what value they roughly have.

They look more like unfinished collar tabs. As to originality or value I cannot say.

Adman is correct...they are unfinished general's collar tabs. They are not real high quality, but look to be original. They are actually interesting since they are a matched set and can be studied for embroidery construction details since you have a good look at the back which is usually hidden.

True value would be if they were finished usable tabs and could be used to restore a uniform. Like they stand now, it's more of a curiosity, display type value which would be in the eyes of the beholder. Finished tabs run from $400.00 to $750.00 for a matched pair depending on condition, materials, quality, etc.

the tabs are real and were sold with a few odds and ends from the general very recently in central germany...
