Don't you 'honestly think' this would look swell under that watercolor of the KM officer you were kind enough to send me. Further, I have the visor to go with it! Finally, I just know your apartment is now overflowing with uniforms such that this one would be a true burden to keep, (think of your poor fiance) therefore, I offer my office as a place to house this tunic(s), etc. as a service.

Thank you gentlemen so far. The site died on me before I could upload details on the coat, so I'll upload some more and renew my request for a fair price on just the coat. I can't keep the entire grouping together because I just don't have the room for more coats as well...
To answer the questions about the original owner. The set came through a gentleman who has been visiting the widow for several years. These are just the first three items that he received. There are more jackets (this being the older, 2nd set), at least three caps & even some high awards and documents. Under these circumstances, I respect the hesitation to give me the name (and I really don't even know it yet myself). The widow is still alive and that is the most important aspect of it all for me. I think, once we come to the paperwork and/or photos, it should be a piece of cake. One of the awards is also so high that should narrow it in enough.
@Phoenixpwb, it absolutely would look fabulous under that watercolor. I will see what my fiancée has to say when she comes home but I'm already a bit afraid of her reaction...
@Simon Orchard --- finding the date of 1928 definitely made my day. I love all this transitional and early stuff and there probably weren't that many Navy officer's in the 1920ies in Germany.
Best Kurt
