average chest size ?

Hello, what would the average chest size for tunics have been during WW2 in the Wehrmacht.

The majority of the ones that I have seen were between 90cm - 96cm.... Several above 96cm as well, but not as many.


The largest I own is 114cm and the smallest is 84cm.

I just had a look and the 84 cm is actually a HG division blouse,here is a black Panzer wrapper that I thought was 84 but it is a 86cm chest (tiny)

I have a 112 cm M36, its huge and sometimes these larger tunics almost look strange, I like them between 94-98 maybe 92, that seems to be average, when you get into the 80 in chest size, they are hard to display, and to me appear almost too small, but, just my personal preference, I know a guy that wouldn't buy anything unless it was 102 or larger, but then, he had some issues.

I have a LW tunic that is 114 CM, and 72 cm sleeve, no doubt a massive guy. I would say the average soldier would be a 94-96.

112 the largest I have seen on a tunic , 128 and 132 on a coat ( which would explain why it was never issued !!!).
