Not worth the risk in my opinion, but, its your piece! you could take a nice hand held attachment for a good vacuum cleaner and use it to gently bring out the dust...I've done this on similar types of suits, you will be surprised how much dust comes out of the fibres, and you dont risk damage to the suede, which can become brittle over time. Just use some caution.
That is a very good Idea I never thoght of, this would work for wool as well if it were too fragile to wash, at least get some of the junk out.

Johnny, it works great on wool, just dont use it as a monthly clean as you may pull more of the nap fibres out, you can also put a womans stocking over the attachment opening to reduce the suction a bit, and also to prevent sucking up anything such as buttons, or threads. Just gently go over the wool, it will clean it up. I recommend really using about a four inch flat attachment and covering with stocking hose.

Great, now I can use all those expensive attachments that my wife "needed" when we bought the machine.
