Tropical Luftwaffe Blue Tunic

Just recieved another tropical tunic today, my 3rd in a month!

I was expecting a sun bleached and very salty but regular tropical tunic, that's what it looked like in the photos at least. However, inside the pockets and under the armpits etc, it's most definitely blue!?

It wasn't until I did a quick search on the forum just now that I even knew that a blue tropical Luftwaffe uniform existed.

Are these things rare? I only found one or two others posted here but they weren't all bleached out.

There're HBT and cotton blue tunics, the cotton version is rare ..
There're also blue HBT and blue cotton overseas caps, blue pithhelmets, blue canvas belts, y-straps, bayonet frog, blue tropical boots ..

Ì've seen a blue tropical jacket almost bleached.
This one was on Ebay.de months ago.

I've had the blue HBT tunics in the past and 2 blue web belts(over the past 35 years) Heard about but, never even seen, let alone handle the blue frogs or y-straps. Did also have a blue HBT o-seas cap. Stuff looks great. What a display to get all that gear onto a tunic.

Ok, took some pics this morning.

First though, here's the story behind it.
A group of items belonging to HG member Wilhelm Klenk who died around 2003 was auctioned on ebay by his son. It included this tunic, a pair of shorts, visor cap, photos, insignia, soldbuch etc. A guy in Germany bought the whole group then decided to split it up. The documents and insignia went to detlev niemann and have since been sold.

The tunic went back on ebay and I got it. The cap is on ebay right now and I'm hoping to get that too. The shorts I can get for 50 euros.
