I recently acquired a small lot of Kriegsmarine items, particularly curious about the black object with the rubber bell shape, any ideas?

Do the insignia appear WW2 era? I can add some further photos, also what rank/position would the owner of these have had? Any help appreciated as Kriegsmarine is outside of my very limited collecting knowledge

a few comments

I think the shoulder boards might be former East Germany maschinist matrose straps. Not Kriegsmarine anyway.

I have some doubts about the cut-down Kriegsmarine Mützenband. To be sure, you could post closeups both front and back on the Kriegsmarine Awards forum.

No idea about the rubber thing. Maybe something they'd use when on shore leave in the red light districts?

I agree that the straps are not WW2 Kriegsmarine... Other other material has a better chance!
