On two different occasions I have seen groups of Nebelwerfer boards and straps have Artillerie Rgt. 71 boards, or straps mixed in with the lots. One lot had Nebelwerfer Rgt. 71 pieces in the lot. Does anyone think this could have been a supply issue and Werfer units used the red Waffenfarbe as well?

There is no direct connection between the two units but Artillery boards were often worn if Nebel piped insingia could not be found. Later in the War it was especially difficult to get the insignia. I remember seeing a deceased collectors straps for sale in ryker mounts and they were organized by strap numbers for all Waffenfarben, that might be another explaination?Originally posted by Schulterklappen View Post
