      I once had an identical original tropical LW tunic example in this brushed material when I lived in Germany. In Mike Beavers SS uniforms there are examples of this cloth used by the SS in field grey

        Here's a WW2 Italian Naval mannequin I put together wearing a uniform in this "silky" (shiny) Italian cloth. Large inventories of this fabric was shipped to the Reich post Italian armistice (September 1943) for uniform fabrication.

            Could be! If its an early piece (without RBNr but maker stamped) it could not be Italian (post armistice) cloth...French would be a possibility...
            Who knows? Anyway many post 1943 Süd Front (WH) uniforms were made in the Italian shiny material... and the RBNr system (hiding manufacturer's name+locations) was not always
            strictly adhered to, so not bullet proof to "date" a piece...
