Bullion tropical M43 insignia, Italian?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some opinions on this insignia, especially the tropical M43 insignia. This belongs to a friend of mine, and I wanted to figure out if it was authentic or not. The bullion insignia looks kind of funny, perhaps Italian made? That's just a guess though. And the Luftwaffe breast eagle has a brown backing?

Any opinions are appreciated.

Hmmm,
I've seen that style cockade embroidery on original field-art....can't say I've seen an example of trap' done this way, though.

I do like the cockade but im not all that big of a fan of the bullion bird.... Im not sure how I feel about the cloth itself either.. the other M43 cap insignia and the luft bird look ok to me. Matt
