Try checking local near you within Germany, May even be able to find someone whose family has been in the business prior to the war. Ask alot of questions and perhaps check their past work. Definately something to get right the first time around.

It willl be a show stopper for sure. I would suggest calling a few shops that are known for hand-making wedding gowns. Check their work and make sure they aren't anti-nazi nuts.

Too bad you didn't live near me, my uboot vet friend Edgar has his master tailor papers. After the war he took up the trade and worked under his father-in-law. He taught me how to do german hidden stitching. If done correctly you can't see the stitches from the top side or the backside, for instance if you sew on a collar tab there are no stiches visable on the backside of the collar.
