Nice, but a work tunic with insignia applied.

The tunic looks nice to me, but aren't those SS shoulderboards (is the piping lime green - or is that grass green)?

The tunic looks good. This type of Fliegerbluse is not a work tunik in my eyes.
Thats a summer luft fliegerbluse. some years ago i bought this version with the
paper label from the LW Bekleidungskammer with original sewing breast eagle.

                        Greetings Andi

shortly after i saw this item for sale i wrote to eric asking him to put it up for discussion. he has done so . i did so originally as i saw this tunic as a straight forward drill tunic with frills. my main query was: did luft drill tunics come in green, as with later war army tunics, or was oatmeal the only drill colour for luft tunics. and if so then this would be a period re-dyed tunic. im glad there has been some further chatter regarding this tunic anyhow.i would then as such steer towards jack melvin's opinion. a nice drillich none the less. im always wiling to learn, but seeing this tunic made me ask-is it a peroid re-dyed oatmeal, or were there luft reed green hbt drillichs issued like army reed green drillich work uniforms during the war. forgive the fussy line of questioning.

There were reed green versions of the tunic. The color is absolutely spot on and it's a nice tunic. I would not consider it to be as issued, though. If there are markings within it, particularly the depot stamp, I'd like to see it.
