well that is too bad about the Espana, but it happens. I got it from a guy that had mostly good stuff from the 70's and early 80's when he collected, but some stinkers in there. Luckily not out too much.
Neat to know about the British shield also. Never sure what that was.
will see if I can get around to more photos.

What a fabulous collection! The SCHUMA collar tabs look fantastic, and the bevo-woven volunteer tabs as well. If this is "light" collecting, I can imagine what your collection concerning your main area of interest looks like!

      regards, Robert

I am afraid that the Blue division shield is a reproduction..
I do agree, a crude repro from the few looks of it.
        Otherwise an impressive collection

Jerry, I just picked up some of these boards, exactly the same, any reference on them, as to them being for volunteer? They are factory manufactured, not addded tresse, which is very cool.

                    Gerard,
They are not really documented anywhere that I have seen, so would not be able to tell you which units used what, whom they were issued to etc. or even the specific ranks.
I just know that they are FV boards, and have discussed them with G. Petersen as being such. He may know more.
Nice grouping. You will notice all the tress is added at time of construction not later on.

Thanks Jerry, I was sure they were for vol but wanted to know if any source had shown them. They are factory made, as you stated, the tresse was even on before the button holes, as they were made over top the tresse.
