Got this yesterday in a group of stuff and was wondering what you guys thought. Opinions, thoughts, etc?? Insignia looks like it's been there a long time, but it could have been replaced postwar although the wear on about everything seems to match like one would want too see. Thanks, Alex

Indeed a stripped Kriegsmarine coastal artillery uniform (note lower pockets)
which was most likely post war restored to Heer...
or wartime re-badged (due to shortages?) to Heer branch.
Note typical Kriegmarine BA-? depot stamp
BA-W (=Bekleidungsamt Wilhelmshaven) or
BA-K =Bekleidungsamt Kiel )
Nice project to return to "Küsten Artillerie"
It was made in Wiesbaden by J Kinkel & Co. (or something along those lines)
Its definately a real piece but wrong branch insignia...
Besides the lower pockets, the full cotton lining also does not conform to
Heer (field) uniform standards, liners which are "skeletal" in appearance...Last edited by NickG; 09-09-2009, 04:53 PM.
