Early Heer uniform.

Has anyone got any info on this uniform? I have never come across it before.

I have seen these before. I cannot remember what they were, I think Police units and/or Landwehr units used them.

Very interesting photo. As you know only the Wehrmacht ( Army, AF and Navy) were allowed to wear the swastica over the right breast. The SS and police were not allowed. I guess it may had been very early before that regulation was instituted or an example of regulations that were not followed.

This is a police or Landwehr tunic, somewhere I have pictures of them being worn. They were used whne Police units were transfered into the Army in the 30s and by reservists. It is normal to see a eagle on them. He is also wearing odd boots, I cannot tell if these are the RH buckle boots or civilian.

I have a group photo somewhere and they are wearing the RH visor caps with Heer eagles. I will look tonight.
