    PZ slip ons???

    Fellow WAF Members:

Could you please provide some expertise based on the credibility of these slip ons? This is the only depiction I have to refer by. Prospective purchase? Thank you kindly!

        Vetenarian???

        LS:

They 100% ok....but tend to Vetenarian.....not Panzer. I have a same set. If you compare them with panzer set (piping/slip ons with numbers) colours I think it comes closer to Vetenarian ..........always difficult those pink colours....

yes Eric, i agree, often difficult, because you can find differents shades of pink coulours.
and pics can sometimes be tricky too.
i would say that those "12" slip-ons are not realy carmine (Karmesin) waffenfarbe, but i could miss it.
Gerard "relichunter" has actualy a visor cap of this colour.
see #681 in this thread for comparizon with a worn pair :

the minty "100" black background ones, commonly found, are good for comparizon too.

i was just checking that point.
it seems there was no Pz-Rgt 12, only Abt but in 1944 :

              http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...zerAbt12-R.htm

              and there was a Vet-Abt 12 too :

              realy interesting...

                Thanks

Thanks again all for the education and research link's. I wish you a personal satisfaction that I have benefited from this wholesome and appealing experience that has developed in a little more independancy on my part. I will archive the links for future indexing.

I do desire PZ slip ons but, require true PZ field gray/pink.

What would you do so in this case, considering a pink shade variation as credible?

I hope I;m not being over critical with this but this has put the zap on me. This picture is the pair of shoulder board's expectation for the slip ons. Now it's mind-fu_k city what true color the shoulder boards are? No worries I can handle this or get handled by it though? It's a matter of rationalization. Thanks for the input.

                Slip ons $ 80.00

I just screened the forums waffenfarbe collection and had my eyeballs full of all the color variations and contrast.

                  well,
i confess i have doubts, Eric might be right about vet colour, i'm not sure,
                  original but wich branch ?
i would buy it at least for comparizon reference...
if not too expensive of course !
otherwise, wait for a better "clear" pair if you don't hurry.

                    LS:

I think it could be a slip on pair for the so called Heimat Pferde Lazarett 12. This "Home-Horse-Hospitals" took care of the sick horses of the army (field army and replacement army) which could not be treated in the field . The Horse-Hospitals are numbered with Arabic numbers of the corps area.

For the really interested please take a look at the link/address beneath with lots of more info on this subject.: (better...make a copy to you address line)

                    Eric

PS: The shoulder boards are in my opinion Panzer colour piped.

PPS: CIB ..those "Vetenarian 12's" go in Europe for about 25,- - 30,- Euro's.

Well I believe I owe you all a conclusion for your time and resources, and I have decided to pass, otherwise the seller offers a refund in the event I opt for a hands on inspection which is the optimum anyalisis. This consultation is what I regard as a great homage to the purpose of the forum. Nevertheless hats off to the Vetinarian & Panzer Corps.

                        re,

Eric is probably right, after all, its vet hypothesis is stronger.
i agree with its PS and PPS conlusion too.
                        last, just an illustration about colours differences on shoulder straps and boards;
the four piping on the right are red, others are pink.

                          Slip-ons

I have a pair of the 12s and believe they are veterinarian. A true panzer slip-on, that exists on field grey, is the number 33. This is most likely for Panzer Rgt. 33 of the 9th Panzer Division. You will find them for sale time to time.
