This is indeed a fact that I can not answer. it's certainly to be found an explanation, but fact is that are orange collartabs and orange button line.

This field blouse is in original wartime condition.
All insignia includet the red shoulderboards are realy wartime sewing .

I'am sure, some member on waf have the knowledge and can answer our questions.

The dyes can change over time, I did not notice this from the images until I looked carefully. How different are they? You see shade differences in many tunics but if they are unquestionably artillery red maybe later in the War early orange boards could not be found and he wore it for walking out on leave. Hard to say.

definitely the tabs and piping at the buttonline in orange. not red or redorange.
