    Help with Panzerjaeger Boards

    Guys,
I just got these shoulder boards with a grouping to one soldier who fought in North Africa. I believe they are prewar by the shape but does anyone know more history about the 32nd anti-tank regiment as I am trying to piece together this guy's unit history? Were these style boards commonly worn in the early part of the war? I seem to recall seeing these boards worn in Poland/French campaigns but then rare to see in later part of war. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
For some infos regarding the unit, you can have a look here :

    http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...Abteilung%2032

these pointed shoulderstraps without piping were adopted in 1934 and discontinued in 1938, but you can see some used until the end of the war.
Nice pair of sought after Panzerabwehr shoulderstraps....congrats....

        You're welcome
Two months ago i sold a pair from Panzerabwehr-Abteilung 2 of the 2. Panzerdivision. At this time (when pointed straps was the norm), anti-tank branch of service was called Panzerabwehr and not Panzerjäger...
