I have always wondered if these breast eagles were made in France. I have an SS officer sleeve eagle of the same maker, in GOLD. I know only Sepp Dietrich wore a gold eagle, but this was was brought back by an American GI.

Does anyone know who made these eagles?

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

No, but I have the same pattern eagle on a tailormade tunic, made by "Hammer & Mensendieck" in Bielefeld. The original owner died 1944, so the eagle on my example is earlier than that.
