    GERMAN PANTS.Opinions please

    Hi,

I have this pair of pants that I have bought several years ago, as WW2 German private tailored period(1943 -1945)

The colour is a sort of "feldgrau" , I would say it looks more the WW2 Italian green.

Ok it is not a textbook, but we all know that in many cases the Germans use what they found, specially in the late period of WW2.
    No markings at all.

Do you think that they can be German?

As I would like to put the Pants on the E-Stand I would like to know your opinions before.

    Thank you for your input.

Is there rubber sewn into the waist band and are the buttons plastic or glass ?

                      Hi,

Thank you Johnny for your reply.

No rubber sewn in the waist, and the buttons are in glass.

                      cheers

                      Luis

I would say they probably are period tailor-made field service pants. It is hard to say 100% but IMO must likely that is what they are. I have some similar examples.

Based on the closure tab above the fly I would say possibly early post war West German Polizei.
Hope I'm wrong. It does look like ski-style pants and the stirrup straps have been removed...(post 5)
I would re-post this in the Polizei section to make sure.

You can check as Nick suggested but on my screen the color is not the police blue/green and have seen the strap closure on WWII clothing, it is also very common on 1930s ski pants etc. It is always had to say on tailor-made items.

                              Looks polizei green to me...
Here is a war time set of Polizei ski pants (came with a tunic it reads in the thread, see link) with stirrup straps still in place...
Not sure what the waist closure looks like... but it sure looks the same!
My vote: war time polizei or post war polizei... because its privately tailored good chance its war time after all!
