hand stitched breast eagles?

Do we know if any breast eagles were originally hand stitched to early M-36 Heer combat tunics? Or, should all original ones of this period (pre-war) be machine stitched?

Time frame I do not think matters...hand sewing was done on about everything in the Heer.
