    Luftwaffe Penal insignia

I figured that I would bring this back up again...

Does anyone have anything to show that pertains to the Luftwaffe Penal units? This is my insignia set.

The cypher indicates the Luftgau of the penal unit.

      Thanks!!

I have seen a few tabs here on the forum, but never any shoulder boards or visors. There has to be something out there!

If anyone has anything, please let me know!

Does Penal Unit refer to one of the following?

        1) POW camp personnel?
        2) Guards or personnel in justice/jail system for Luftwaffe bad boys.
        3) Production company for Nazi adult film industry.

              Dear Joe,

Paul flew last Sun to CA for his new assignment. He will be off the net for awhile until he reestablishes comms.

Hey all, I am back on for the next four days. My unit is deployed and I will be off and on the net for the next few months.

My unit is home based out of Alameda! I am in San Diego now, for the next few days(closer to your neck of the woods).

My wife and I have come to a truce, regarding the collection. LOL

Anyone else have anything pertinent to the Luftwaffe Disciplinary units?

Interesting insignia Paul, I have never seen before..

Have the chainstitched numbers been changed?? are they stitched throug the boards or only through the top layer?

                      Best regards
                      Jens

That's right, there is evidence of former numbers, isn't it ?

I saw this pair a few years ago. The numbers are stitched through the boards.

                          All the best,
                          Andreas

I am not near my collection, but I recall the embroidery going completely through the straps.

Here is a closeup of the embroidery... I think that it used to be a "VII".

                            Vizenz,

When/where did you see these? I dont think that I ever posted an image of the reverse before.

                              Hello Paul,
I had a chance to buy it via email. A little bit later there was to sell at the collectors club.

                              All the best,
                              Andreas
