    Tunic Opinions Please

    Hello All,

Firstly, sorry if this is slow to download, plenty of pics below.
Anyway, could you please give me your opinions on this tunic?

Straight away I always believed the "Seelager" cufftitles to be fantasy pieces.
The zig-zag stitching is present under the collar.
None of the stitching or other pieces glow under black light.
The shoulder buttons are Assman marked but the rest have a name similar to dicke ( or something that ended in icke )
I would very much love to hear any opinions on this tunic.
    Thank You for looking

    Hi,
I would rather take the case of beer, hands down.....

Unless this thing fits a 8 year old, the size markings make no sense. The "64" in the center is the chest size. It would be the equivalent of about a 25 inch chest.

        Hi Kevin,

In my opinion run, don't walk, away from this one. The general insignia appears bad, the cufftitle is fantasy and I expect the tunic to be postwar as well.

This tunic is absolutely a post war West German tunic. The lapel style and the material are a dead givaway and the sleeve eagle is a piece of rubbish (not to mention the cufftitle). I used to see these by the bale back in the 1970's.

          Do not touch it!
          Cheers, Wade K

            Thank You All

            Hi Gang,

Thanks very much for the feedback.
That was pretty much what I thought. Another thing that doesn't show too well in the photos is the location of the insignia. IMHO it was placed there to cover up West German insignia.
It also felt lighter than any other tunic I own.

And the insignia in general, well.....

Oh and Chris, if that case of beer is on offer.....

            Thanks All!
            Cheers and Roo
