      utensi,

Possible....but not probable. application of the Luftwaffe eagle doesn't conform to where (or how) a German would apply a breast eagle to a flying jacket.....looks like either a GI or an unknowlegible collector added it...

      However....almost anything is possible

Nice fleece jacket, by the way....

Impossible, at least for this jacket. The eagle is not sewn correctly to be original.

Whoever added it must have falsely beleived that the eagle was sewn in a diving position.

Do you have any pictures of the tags inside of the jacket? I'm pretty sure it's for the US Navy and I'm not positive of the timeframe.

Eagle is postwar, as is the jacket most likely. Looks like a civilian copy of a B3

The jacket looks like an original ANJ4, it was the last sheepskin flying jacket used by the USAAF.

Jacket looks made-up to me as well. However, here is an example of Galland wearing what looks to be an RAF Irvin Jacket:

The jacket has no labels! how can one be sure whether it is original?

Post it on the US militaria forums; they'll know very quickly. No label is interesting... I've also not seen that sort of loop for hanging the jacket on a WWII vintage item. I'm leaning towards a civilian jacket as the quality seems better than what was produced during the war (they don't hold up well over time at all).

At any rate, those guys will know while I'm just guessing!
