Does anyone have any ideas the meaning of the red and yellow waffenfarbe? Their must be a difference? Maybe rank? Occupation?

Very interesting thread, had not seen it before. Paul as I was looking at your past post I was wondering why the two different colors and was going to post the question,
then I read your last post
Can you give me an example of what kind of "technical" service these soldiers performed?

Hi Scott,

From what I read, they were civilian logistic support personnel of some sort. I think that they had some sort of aviation connection(I dont think they ordered food or etc)... perhaps manufactured aviation parts or something like that? If someone knows more, I would love to hear it.
