Post examples of unusual NCO tress

I recently purchased this Armored Train Feldwebel strap and when I took a close look at it I noticed the very unusual NCO tress design.

I've run across some unusual designs over the years and thought it might be interesting to see what other unusual designs are out there.

Here is a close up of the tress on the Gothic E+3 strap. Notice the construction method of the edges:

Cellulon tresse. This is the stiff rayon that is supposed to replicate the aluminum style. Itt is not the later soft rayon blend subdued tresse.

That is a nice board that I have no reason to doubt. In addition to the cello tresse, some might find the rayon piping unusual for what would seem to a be a pre-war board. I have seen the rayon piping on several items that dated prior to 1940 and some even earlier. It may have been only or mostly used during that period on private made type items and not contract...I'm not sure.

Hi Guys:
in regards to the tresse of the straps I posted, they appear brighter silver than in person, due to the Photograph under a "hobby" light. these may show the true color, closer to gold than silver on the tresse.
