Sorry, I have no better photos at the moment. Thanks for help!

PS: I'm not sure what kind of material it is? I'm not sure is it aluminium only. Or Cupal?

Thanks for the answer! The seller is a forum member and asked me to remove the photos

But I found a similar skull in my collection and I can post a photo of it! It is ground dug, material iron, details are not sharp, uncutted nose hole. The silvering looks like gold (a phenomenon that I saw on other ground dugs too).

I think these skulls are real and late war made. Other collectors that I asked had a similar opinion.

A Braunschweig cap skull (rare ww2 flat variant)! A ground dug with the same colour change.

              Not always, but sometimes

Too much unusual fakes are on the market.

I am still skeptical. I have never seen this skull on a real jacket or in a veteran estate. It must been a very seldom used typ. But in opposite to this you find them very often today, often in mint condition.

The most unusual skull variants you can find on period photos. There I have seen some very unusual types.

if this skull is so unusual, why can buy plenty of pairs today?

Because a lot of these "mint condition" skulls are fakes! I'm sceptical about the skulls in the links that you posted too. I have never said all variants must be real. Especially the skulls with the prongs on the edges are easier to fake than the other skulls with backside prongs.
