Been after a Reichswehr tunic for some time...although this appears to be a Wehrmacht conversion (hip pockets added) I picked this up from a dealer friend in the car park (where most of the deals are done) before the fair starts......ok although there was a breast eagle losely tacked on there is no sign of one being there, the piping is for a beamt so the litzen and epaulettes are correct (not fixed).....also the loops have me stumped....so what do you guys think....cheers, Paul

That looks like a Customs "Zoll" tunic someone has very heavily modified. IMO I would not consider that to have been a RH tunic.
Here is another one, is that the same tunic?

They used both issue and tailor made tunics. This is a tailor-made tunic.
An officials piped service tunic would have dark green piped french cuffs.
The loops if they are period would be normal for a customs official with long term civil and WWI service.

This is a late 1920s RH tunic converted for use by a TSD officer near the end of the War. Yours may be real as it is. Towards the end of the War they were wearing things like this. This example has HV boards with the green trim picked off the boards and the TSD devices applied. They kept the HV tabs.Attached Files
