    KM reefer jack

Greetings. Did anyone notice there is a reefer jack with Steinmetz&Hehl label on Ebay recently? I did some research on www and in the forum, it looks like Steinmetz&Hehl has been producing marine items since the war and still running the business today. Can this jack be period made? or post war with put together features?

You are correct about the maker. Most German post war reefer's close with three buttons and not 4 like the originals, but this characteristic could be post modified (add another hole and button!) and may not be a universal post war feature.

I would need a lot more a better photos of this to make a guess, but I don't like what I see very much. The loops are not professional or very worn and a Line officer of this rank would normally have more badges I would expect.

I have examined post war (50s and 60s) ear reefers by this maker and this one is very similar (same label I believe) ...it is not talking to me!
