The third set is definitely OK too.

For me, the verdict is still out on the final set. There are qualities I do and dont like about it.

Dear Flipside,

Just a FYI, most of the tabs that Paul posted (except the ones made with terry cloth backing material) were of foreign manufacture. The foreign manufactured tabs will have the most discrepanies when compared to "text book" tabs made in Germany. You can also find tabs with made with sheet metal backing material.

In addition to differing backing materials on tabs, the attachments themselves can vary greatly. For the white summer uniform, those tabs can have snaps, buttons or some string.

As for the FD tabs you posted, many of these un issued tabs were located a few years ago and alot were located in, I believe, Vienna in the 70s/80s.
