is the basket weave machine stitched to the tab??

I am very sure this skull is a fine early example.

Piping on those Tabs is unusual, but i think i have seen such tabs in a veteran estate some month ago.

Thanx guys, Jens they are machine stitched. I think RichardP has shown similar piped tabs. Any additional comments? Also if it is sold as a pair what is a fair value? Jacques
