So far the only thing I like is the dress belt and buckle. If you want better opinions please post more pitures of the hat and coat. I don't think the coat is WWII production officers coat. Looks like a early, post war police coat.

Much better. Please post pictures of the shoulder boards and the coat tails. Also, do the buttons have makers marks and dates? What is the sleeve material look like?

Also, you might want to post the hat on the cloth headgear forum if you haven't already.

So far I don't know what to tell you other than it is not a one looker for me. It is not, what I call, a standard Heer officers coat. IMHO It still jumps out at me as a post war police coat (mainly the color it could be the lighting).

It sure is not a one looker, although i have seen a nice untouched Infantry officer`s coat with that type of lining.

            Regards, Les.

Perhaps not the right forum to comment but I was under the impression that visor hats with perforated sweat bands were post war (as a rule)? I know some people don't like out-and-out rules such as this but that is what I heard (on this forum)...

Erels sweat bands are always perforated and looks oke imo, the coat itselfs looks post-war to my... but i,m not
                        a expert.

                        cheers, Andre

I really don't like the application of the shoulder boards, though the boards are origional. There are way too many questions surrounding this coat which will hurt the value and any future sale. IMHO I would take it back and wait for a 100% unquestioned coat.

Steve thank you for your opinions , even if I think that it is period-time WWII nice original!

and have you got any photos of original officer greatcoat, for you original on 100%? Every coats which I saw are very different and I dont known what is OK.

PS: Here are not arguments which says: YES "its not period-time original thing, BECAUSE ...."

PS2: but it is problem many threads

PS3: and what is wrong on SB aplication, on picture is every OK?

Can you post a picture of the front of the coat - so one can see the button rows in relation to the pocket flaps.
