Thoughts on this Italian shield (a web offer)? (printed)
    Wehrmacht freiwilligen related? or?

    Hello Nick,

The flag is wrong...so you can make your own opinion by yourself.

So the shield is a fake for sure? I have not paid for it yet... More opinions please!!

On this thread I am getting positive comments!
( I do think the border stitching is odd...)

Here's a what appears to be uniform removed twin of this printed shield. It came
from a former SS soldier, that's the story at least...

        Nick,

I don't know if is a fake, I can tell you the italian flag is different from this one, so I would say that's a item that I wouldn't have in my collection.
And anyway I have never seen any picture showing this shield (that IMHO you can find too often at the militaria shows)..
        Not WSS\Polizei related IMHO.

        Best Regards

T.K. I found out that the flag shield in question is right as rain, it is the official tri-color pattern
(see image) and it was given thumbs up in the SS section. Just wanted to let you know!

Here's another one like this from fellow WAF member Askold. I found out that various have been found in US vet "bring back" souvenir lots! FYI
