    Tropical Heer Straps

I like tropical stuff as my dad was in Africa and Southern Italy.
I have been trying to put together a tropical collection for years.
    It is slowly coming together.
Here are some of the Heer tropical straps that I have been able to come up with for your viewing pleasure.

          Thank you John.
Is it the work of many moons of looking....
Oddly enough I cannot find tropical LW flight straps.

Thanks for posting. It would be enjoyable to see some close ups, especially of the overcoat straps!

Neither my camera nor my photographic abilities are the greatest.
Here are pics I have. Time permitting, I will take more later.

Again, superb selection George! You have done well for these are rare. So are, as you have experienced, tropical Luft. flight straps, especially when of tunic twill.

OMG! Great collection of straps. If you end up with too many you can always send me a pair.

Very nice collection! So you are the guy who has all the missing straps for those DAK tunics .

I find the 3 different shades of green straps very interesting.
I assume Pzgr, mountain and rifle.
                          Can anyone confirm that?
Also, see the wool straps with the pips on them. They were given to me by a man that fought my dad. He was in from 1937 to war's end. He said he wore the straps at Stalingrad and Salerno. Note the tropical tress when he was promoted.

About the green boards: the pair on top are Gebirgsjäger boards. The one on the left bottom are Panzergrenadier. And the ones with the reg.number are IMO GJ boards but with panzergrendadier regiment 'loops'... I could be wrong on that pair as the picture is not so clear.
