          Well, I heard that Peter V. Lukas had recently sold a large Panzer grouping, I take it this is the one

          I'd love to see scans of the entire Soldbuch... Is there an award entry for the TDB in it?

          Here's a little info on Pz.Abt.44:

          Die Abteilung wurde am 10. Februar 1945 in Dänemark aufgestellt. Die Abteilung wurde aus der Reserve-Panzer-Abteilung 5 der 233. Reserve-Panzer-Division mit 3 Kompanien aufgestellt. Die Abteilung wurde der Panzer-Division Holstein unterstellt. In der Kriegsgliederung erscheint die Abteilung mit der Nummer 44. Im März 1945 wurde die Abteilung in Pommern zerschlagen. Im März 1945 wurde die Abteilung in Pommern zerschlagen. Der Auflösungsbefehl der Division am 19. April 1945 stellte die Abteilung zur Verfügung des Oberbefehlshabers des Ersatzheeres gestellt. Im Auflösungsbefehl erscheint die Abteilung mit der Nummer 144. Laut Tessin wurden die Reste der Abteilung aber am 26. März 1945 in die 18. Panzer-Grenadier-Division bei der Heeresgruppe Weichsel eingegliedert.

                It is a real nice group.


                I think we established it is definately not the same wrapper, ribbon different, collar tabs different & location, cut of lapels different, shoulder boards in SB look more like tailored boards than issue etc.

                      bnz, nice work- and yes it is not the wrapper in the soldbook.I think it is the walkingout-dress used in fronturlaub in the heimat.
