GFM von R was particularly different. He did have white piping on his tunic, collar tabs, and shoulder boards. He also refrained from wearing the traditional collar tabs having the red background and gold oak leaves. Goering was another, beyond question. I have personally seen some of his collar tabs and shoulder boards that were in the largest Luftwaffe collection of the world. He wore 3 different styles of shoulder boards, including all gold braid, and with silver inner braid.
