    and last one ... the only area which shows useage is the collar piping maybe from a great coat, the breast area of the tunic is like mint as you can see from the pics ,, please make your own opinion and tell me ...

      I think it is was difficult to judge the eagle from the photos. I thought that in the firsts eagle photos, the lighting bleached the white color on the eagle and the white thread. The photos made the eagle look "out of place" for me. The last photos are much better. The only thing I can tell, is that I love the tunic and I would be glad to have it in my collection. The way the eagle is stitched is was I will consider one of the standard ways for a late tunic like yours. The other forum members can give better opinions.

        This is a shoulder shrug, the question is when was it applied and that is almost impossible to answer. If there is evidence of another eagle I would say it is most likely post War otherwise it becomes more likely it was factory applied etc.

          I also agree that the breast eagle appears to be what was sewn on at the factory when the tunic was made.
