    That was a good read.

Tom and Luca state the opinions held in the two "prong" camps - some believe absolutely that two prongs are legit and not three, and the other way around.

Luca posted a set with the same style round point tabs as the three-prong pair that started the thread. To bring us back to the general discussion - the tabs have two main parts, the base material backing and the skulls. Does anyone NOT like the base material? Does anyone have an wartime three-prongs examples with the blunt tips they would wish to post?

      regards, Robert

Look at post 9. Here is a high quality pic of this type of 3 prongs skulls. If your skulls are reproductions, you might find minor differences in appearance/shape/ size. Its difficult to recognize this on pictures, but if you find, that these skulls were not made by the same machine, i would tend to fakes.

            robert,
I did a little study on skulls a while back.

Never found a tab I thought was original with the blunt tipped skulls. Just my opinion.

I dont take criticism well?? no, your right I dont,,,especially when I consider the source,,you call me a liar by saying you saw them on ebay,,,then you say that they are "bad" without a plausible explanation as to why,,,,

Even if the piping is cotton,,,do you guys mean to sit there and tell me,that not one tailor in the third reich never , ever used cotton piping??? especially late in the war?? Sorry but I'm not buying it,,Glenn is the only one to step fwd and explain his reasoning behind why he thinks they are fake,,anyone else have something constructive to say??

maybe something they have learned in the process of their own research and not parroting 'the gang" on the forums???

"I did a little study on skulls a while back."

The skull thread was very instructive. None of the examples shown have the round-tipped prongs. I have owned original ones with blunt tips, but not in the three-pronged variety.
