Hi Guys,
an inspection of any number of Pictures of Von Kleist (especially those in "Von Kleist, From Hussar to Panzer Marshal" by C.R. Davis 1978) reveals several things. I cannot find any pictures of him wearing the DK on his tunic....not even as he was presented with his FM's Baton frm Hitler. He is never observed wearing the EK spanger on ribbon in front, in fact always wearing the Ostmedal ribbon. His tunics appear to have ALL been in the "alter art" or old style cut of the Reichwehr....and not in the modern service dress cut. And finally right from the start he appears to have worn the FM's collar tabs on all his tunics.
So it appears to be another piece of fantasy (as expected).
