Mine is pictured in Scott Pritchett's Volume One of his Grossdeutschland series. It is on pages 54 to 57.

I saw George Peterson sell an unbelievable GD parade jacket out the back of his vehicle in 1986 at the Green Belt show in Maryland.

      Don't go there !

Selling an item out of your trunk does not make it fake or the seller a crook. Why don't you say exactly what you mean. How many original GD waffenrocks have you examined? A detailed answer giving reasons why an item is fake is far better than the warning to stay away.

I don't know if Kai Winkler's tunic is good or not as it would require a hands on examination and comparison to known originals.

I was joking around above but we know there were period examples and there are pictures of them being worn. The consensus seems to be that in most cases the GD specific insignia was just added to the standard pattern rocks. The one Bob has is wonderful. The problem of course is that the cuffs and collar litzen could be applied last week as well as during the period etc. You have to be very careful with anything like this.

I did not imply that the sale back in 1986 was of a fake. Nor that this one is. I just made a comment that the only one I ever saw was in 1986 and George Peterson had it. You went there anyway but came out on the right side.
