    Grossdeutschland dress tunic

What’s your opinion on this beauty???
Seems correct to me … just cuffband appears to be not well placed as expected for a dress tunic. perhaps it's just the photo!
I like combat tunics but this one will be the only one dress would own. Surelly its price is over the clouds.

Would need a good hands on i should think.

A very rare and desirable piece, which if you had the right bits, and a good tailor could easily be 'made' from a normal infantry wafffenrock.

            No doubt its very expensive!

These are all real. I have four of them and like to wear them gardening . This is an issue tunic from a factory. Are there stamps? These were produced and are very rare. It was a prototype and probably less than 50 were made during the period and probably about 200 since 1980. Post pictures of the stamps is you can.

I cannot comment on THIS specific waffenrock.

However, I will note that those of us who have been wandering around this hobby for a few decades can recall when these GD rocks appeared about 25-30 years ago. As I recall, a number of them had been found in storage, where they had been placed after the introductory ceremonies for the uniform, a uniform that was never later produced.

At the time no one was interested in them precisely because they were prototype uniforms that were never really "official" German army uniforms.
