Navy Admiral's Greatcoat

This week I went to see a collection that I would like to buy. In the collection was a naval admiral's greatcoat with lighter blue lapels and 3 pips on the shoulder boards denoting General-Admiral. I could not read the owner's name on the name tag. What is a fair offer for the greatcoat. It was quite impressive and I would not mind owning that greatcoat.

Bob,
I saw a Konteadmiral's overcoat at the last SOS for, I believe, $1200. A very-high rank overcoat would, I think, be worth considerably more (and there are people who can do wonders in reading these labels, especially over at GMIC). Now that Paul Chapurko has re-published Vol. 3 of the KM series (the rangliste), these uniform items are much more easily researched.
