silver thread Heer eagle on dark green backing

I would like to discuss about the correct identification of this chest eagle.
I have always thought that this eagle was for NCO and officers. On a newly released book entitled "Deutsche Soldaten", it was referred as "the more common eagle you can find on M36 feldbluse" for all ranks. To my knowledge, but I may be wrong, the classic eagle for all ranks for a M36 is the white thread one,on dark green backing.

Are you talking about the flatwire used for the parade tunic

mmm, i don't know the exact term in english: it looks like the classic eagle for m36 (white on dark green) but instead of white is silver, and usually these bevo eagles have a wool background too. I have a couple in my collection, but I don't have some pics available now.

        Eagle

        Greetings Matt,

It sounds like you are talking about a flatwire eagle. If you are saying it is like the white on dark green BeVo eagle,I call these a 2nd pattern flatwire. From what I understand, these were used on Parade tunics, and by NCO's and Officers on their combat tunics.I also understand that these could be used by the enlisted soldier on a private purchase tunic.

Hi, yes that was the original question. The one I mean now is a triangle.

Hi, yep this one. the background is dark green. I have had various M44 eagles but they were always the grey type. That's why i was wondering what these m44 flatwire eagles are.

Top is more like green as other flatwire officers version. I have many different ones, but do not know all the significances except gold colored might be kriegsmarine or coast arty. Im not really sure. Ill leave that up to the experts. these are all originals although. Hope you figure out what you need to know, are you putting together a uniform, and need to use the right eagle ?(if you dont mind me asking just out of curiosity?)
