    Luftwaffe Generalleutnant Uniform

I'm posting these for Floyd Petri. The uniform and related papers and photos belonged to Johannes Ludwig (Hans) Graf von Hachenburg (31 July 1886 Hachenburg/Westerwald--12 December 1976 Würzburg).

and a sample of the accompanying photo documentation, just to help put a person to the uniform--

Count Hachenburg had a distinguished flying career in WWI, having qualified before the war as both a pilot and observer. He recieved the Prussian Hohenzollern House Order 3rd Class with swords, EKs 1 & 2, black wound badge, and the Flyer's Commemorative Badge. He then served as an armored car commander with a Freikorps, four years in the Westphalian Police, and director of the Cologne Airport before rejoining the Wehrmacht in 1933. He served in the Air Ministry as Chief of Section Strength and Equipment in the Luftwaffe General Staff 1939-1944.
