Hi everyone... Especially Scott. Here is the posting of the Max Fabich GD Uniform. Fabich was one of the last awardee's of the RK which was conferred on May 9th 1945. This Uniform was issued to him in 1944 and is piped in the Bright Yellow Piping for when he was assigned to take over the Fusiler Unit ...a reconnaisance unit....of the Panzerkorps. The highest rank he obtained was oberstleutnant which is the rank on the shoulderboards. It is interesting to note that the photograph of Fabich and this uniform both have a lack of GD ciphers. The photo had to be taken sometime after the war or was a war time photo with the RK added in as was common. I believe from the looks of the photo that the later is probably the case.
