Hermann Göring Cuffband - original?

Would appreciate any advice on this one. I have arranged to purchase it, but have a return privilege.

All but 1 of the examples shown in Williamson/McGuirl’s book on cuff bands have M’s where the middle part of the “M” extends to the bottom. There is 1 example like this one though.

I thought the quality of lettering on this one looked pretty good.

Based on the two photos provided I cannot fault this piece. Is it black or blue? Price and seller also will give you clues to consider.
