If I pull the braid the underside shows the original color. -

These certainly aren't what I'd call your "textbook" examples, if that is what you are looking for and would be comfortable with. I've seen examples before with this "fat" looking inner silver braid that I believed to be real, but that underlay certainly is different. Bottom line is, if you are looking to make a 'safe' purchase and have no familiarity with these things, this would probably not be a good buy for you as the same questions will surface when you later try to sell them.Comment
