    Opionions On These General's Boards

    These were given to me by a friend who sold out in the 1980's.

      My initial impression is that they are okay. I'd like to see a nice close-up of the backing material as it looks a little odd, but it may just be my monitor.

        I agree that the base material looks weird...That was my initial thought also Reminds me of East German made boards... but the braiding (loop count) is not East German...I guess that's a good sign...
        but I'm not a pro on General stuff...

            These certainly aren't what I'd call your "textbook" examples, if that is what you are looking for and would be comfortable with. I've seen examples before with this "fat" looking inner silver braid that I believed to be real, but that underlay certainly is different. Bottom line is, if you are looking to make a 'safe' purchase and have no familiarity with these things, this would probably not be a good buy for you as the same questions will surface when you later try to sell them.
