    Anybody seen this before?

Note interesting "Sumpftarn camo" scrap material used as edge material on late war mint condition leather reenforced Cavalry riding breeches.
    Any other examples out there?

I have seen camo scraps used in issue as pocket flap lining of HBT tunics clothing but more often with field repairs. Someone posted an HBT with Oak camo for the pocket linings last year I think. .

agree with all.... very cool but not unheard of. What is also interesting is that some writers (Angolia?) state that the leather reinforced breeches ended mid-war. Not true, evidently.

No not at all discontinued! These are late war leather reenforced enlisted cavalry breeches with a pocket arrangement like you would expect to see on "kielhosen"!
When I bought these I did not even know about this camo surprize!

The material looks like the late war M44 issue brownish wool, which really makes this an even more desirable set!

                  More Scraps

SS scraps but then scraps are scraps. SS dot keilhosen, with smooth brushed cotton scraps on pocket linings, also on the waist adjustment tapes, I love scraps!

Both sides lined with this brushed cotton. Still not as unusual and neat as the scraps of camo used on breeches.
